Lauren Cunningham joined Guidance Carolina in 2026, bringing over 20 years of professional experience in higher education, community and youth development, and academic service-learning. Her career is defined by a deep commitment to civic engagement, faith-rooted organizing, and community care. Lauren holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Sociology and a Master of Public Administration from Western Kentucky University. She is also a Certified Spiritual Director, having earned her credentials from Hood Theological Seminary. With a commitment to creating a more just and compassionate society, Lauren focuses on encouraging the hearts of others and supporting those who are vulnerable and disenfranchised. As an Elder Justice Care Manager, Lauren serves as a fierce advocate and dedicated professional for older adults in Guilford County.
