Julie joined Guidance Carolina’s administrative team in May 2025 as Executive Assistant.
Her strengths include guiding board members and executive teams in strategic planning and business development. She is inspired by the mission and has eagerly joined efforts to grow the organization to meet the needs of everyone across the state.
Julie earned a Batchelor’s degree in Social Work and Sociology from Meredith College and obtained her Master’s degree in Sociology from East Carolina University. She spent time in Washington DC studying public policy and serving constituencies on Capitol Hill. Ever curious, she also pursued public administration courses at NC State University and obtained a certificate from Duke University in nonprofit management.
Julie and her husband, Shawn, have raised two daughters and currently enjoys the company of their dogs on walks under the beautiful green canopy of Greensboro.
